THE JONNY BOOM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

PURPOSE
Jonathan Martin Mills had a lifelong love of baseball that inspired the family to create this scholarship in his memory. Jonny played ball from a young age and throughout his life. Each team became his extended family. He was fortunate to belong to several baseball teams, including Dodge City Diamondbacks (youth travel team), Dodge City Rangers (Junior and Senior Legion), Dodge City Red Demons (Dodge City High School), DCCC Conqs (Community College), McPherson Bulldogs (Four-year college), and various recreational and intramural teams. The family believes the best way to honor Jonny is to make sure other young men and women get the opportunity to continue doing what they love. The Jonny Boom Memorial Scholarship is specifically for qualified students who are continuing their athletic career at the collegiate level.
